I was looking for a program that would avail me not only with knowledge but also practical life experience in dealing with the current challenges of poverty and inequalities. I am glad a friend who is an alumnus of the Glocal recommended this program and I have no regrets.
The program provides first hand tools in project design, monitoring and evaluation and the political economy of development, which are relevant in the world of development.
From the get-go I felt supported by the Glocal community and have found so many like-minded people who understand my interests and passion for development.
I chose Glocal because I wanted to understand the theories that explain development. I have created new friendships and a network that continues to be valuable in both academics and on a personal level.
What attracted me to Glocal was the unique internship element, which offers a chance to gain experience in the field, make valuable connections and put the lessons from the classroom into practice on the ground.
